The Indian Cricket Team Celebrates T20 World Cup Victory with Grand Parade in Mumbai
After clinching the T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team celebrated their triumph with a grand victory parade in Mumbai. The players rode in an open bus procession, wearing specially designed jerseys that featured the word ‘CHAMPIONS’ boldly displayed on the front.
Not only did the jerseys showcase celebratory text, but they also had two stars positioned above the Team India crest on the top left corner. These stars symbolize the team’s two successful campaigns in the T20 World Cup, highlighting their exceptional achievements in this format of the game.
Earlier in the day, Sanju Samson unveiled a unique jersey designed to honor Team India’s victory in the T20 World Cup. Led by captain Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team received a hero’s welcome upon their arrival home via a specially scheduled charter flight.
Before heading to the ITC Maurya hotel, the players proudly displayed the T20 World Cup trophy to the enthusiastic spectators. Samson shared a picture of the new jersey on Instagram, showcasing a significant change: a second star above the BCCI logo, representing India’s victory in the T20 World Cup twice.
The phrase “champions” adorns the front of the shirt, serving as a proud reminder of their hard-earned success. The addition of the second star pays tribute to India’s 2007 victory in their inaugural T20 World Cup, uniting the past and present in a legacy of determination and triumph.
