Exciting news for beverage enthusiasts! Suntory, the renowned Japanese brewing and distilling company, has officially launched its Indian subsidiary, Suntory India. This move aims to accelerate its business operations in India and tap into the vast market potential of the country.
Heading this new venture is Managing Director Masashi Matsumura, who will lead the company as it begins operations in July with its office located in Gurgaon, Haryana. Suntory India will focus on establishing a strong presence in the Indian market, particularly within the spirits industry, as well as exploring opportunities in the soft drinks and health & wellness sectors.
Commenting on this strategic expansion, Suntory Holdings President & CEO Tak Niinami emphasized the importance of India as a key market with a growing economy and significant cultural influence. He expressed his enthusiasm for enhancing Suntory’s presence in India by leveraging its diverse beverage offerings and investing in partnerships to drive growth.
With a rich heritage dating back to its founding in 1899 in Osaka, Japan, Suntory Group is globally recognized for its premium beverages, including the iconic Japanese whiskies Yamazaki and Hibiki, as well as popular brands like Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark. The company’s diverse portfolio also features beer, wine, and other spirits, catering to a wide range of consumer preferences.
