South Africa’s Sune Luus Scores Century in Women’s Test Against India
In an exciting turn of events on Day 3 of the one-off women’s Test match between India and South Africa, South Africa’s top-order batter Sune Luus stole the show by scoring a magnificent century. Sneh Rana’s impressive performance not only dismantled South Africa’s batting lineup but also etched her name in the record books. Her figures of eight for 77 in the first innings rank as the second-best in a Women’s Test innings for India, behind Neetu David’s eight for 53 against England in 1995.
As India enforced the follow-on with a lead of 337 runs, South Africa faced an uphill battle. However, Wolvaardt and Luus’s partnership provided hope for the visitors as they navigated through the final sessions of the match.
