All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi recently voiced his concerns after his Delhi residence was vandalized with black ink by unknown miscreants. Owaisi called out Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Speaker Om Birla, questioning whether the safety of parliamentarians will be guaranteed in such situations.
This is not the first time Owaisi has been a target of such attacks, as he revealed in a statement.
Taking to social media, Owaisi expressed his frustration, stating, “Some ‘unknown miscreants’ vandalised my house with black ink today. I have now lost count the number of times my Delhi residence has been targeted.”
Seeking answers from Delhi Police and urging Amit Shah for action, Owaisi demanded accountability for the repeated incidents. He also addressed Speaker Om Birla, questioning the safety measures in place for MPs.
Owaisi dismissed the miscreants as “two-bit goons” and asserted that such cowardly acts do not intimidate him.
Calling out the perpetrators, Owaisi challenged them to face him directly instead of resorting to acts of vandalism. He called for courage and masculinity in their actions.
‘RSS did not resist Emergency’
In another statement, Owaisi criticized the BJP-led Centre for its response to the 1975 Emergency, highlighting that RSS leaders did not resist the ban imposed during that period. He pointed out that instead of resisting, RSS leaders sought to have the ban lifted on the organization.
It is important to note that the RSS serves as the ideological parent of the BJP.
Continuing his critique, Owaisi referenced Savarkar and questioned the actions of the Sangh Parivar during the Emergency. He suggested that the RSS leaders were compliant with the ban and were more interested in having it lifted rather than challenging it.
During the period of emergency, the RSS faced a ban imposed by the government at the time.
