NTA Announces Fresh Exam Dates for UGC NET, NCET, and Joint CSIR-UGC NET
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released new exam dates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), National Common Entrance Test (NCET), and Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR-UGC NET). The announcement was made through a public notice on the official website of NTA at nta.ac.in.
Originally scheduled for June, the UGC NET, NCET, and Joint CSIR-UGC NET exams were postponed due to reported paper leaks and other discrepancies that emerged after the NEET UG 2024 results were declared on June 4, 2024.
The revised dates for the UGC NET June 2024, NCET 2024, and Joint CSIR-UGC NET 2024 exams have been finalized to take place between July and August.
The NTA notice states, “This is to inform all concerned candidates that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, some of the National Testing Agency (NTA) examinations were postponed/cancelled. Now, the fresh dates for these examinations have been finalized as per the details given.”
According to the updated schedule, the NCET 2024 exam will be conducted on July 10, 2024. Following that, the Joint CSIR-UGC NET will take place from July 25 to July 27, 2024.
The UGC NET June 2024 exam is scheduled to be held between August 21, 2024, and September 4, 2024. Below is the detailed examination schedule:

UGC NET June 2024 exam will be held in online mode
Additionally, the UGC NET June 2024 exam, which was originally conducted on June 18, 2024, and subsequently canceled on June 19, will now be conducted in Online Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. For more details, refer to the official notice.
