India-Sri Lanka White-ball Series Postponed by a Day
The much-anticipated white-ball series between India and Sri Lanka has hit a minor snag, as the cricket board announced a one-day postponement of the commencement of the six-match series. The reason for the delay remains undisclosed, as reported by AFP.
Originally scheduled to kick off on July 22 with India’s arrival in Sri Lanka, the first T20 match will now take place on July 27, one day later than planned, as confirmed by Sri Lanka Cricket.
According to the updated schedule, the second T20 match is set for July 28, followed by the final match of the three-game T20 series on July 30. All T20 matches are slated to be held at the Pallekele venue.
The ODI leg of the series will begin on August 2, with the second ODI match scheduled for August 4. The series will conclude with the final ODI match on August 7, all to be played at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
