This initiative follows controversies and reported irregularities in the conduct of NEET-UG exams for medical courses and UGC-NET exams for college and university positions. Dr. Radhakrishnan, the committee chairperson, aims to address concerns and create a secure examination system.
The deadline for submitting suggestions is July 7, 2024, with the initiative running from June 27, 2024. Inputs from students and parents will contribute to recommendations for a transparent examination process.
Parliament discussions on NEET and UGC-NET exams have seen clashes between opposition and ruling parties, impacting session schedules. Despite willingness for dialogue, the adjournment motion postponed further discussions.
