The Latest Updates on the NEET-UG Paper Leak Investigation
Amidst the ongoing probe into the alleged irregularities surrounding the NEET-UG exam, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) intensified its investigation by visiting a school in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. The CBI team interrogated the staff, including the principal of the Oasis school, in connection with the paper leak case.
Following the interrogation, two individuals from the school were released by the CBI. The accused, Baldev Kumar alias Chintu and Mukesh Kumar, were remanded to CBI custody for further investigation.
Notably, the CBI court in Patna granted permission to the CBI to take the accused on remand, allowing for a detailed inquiry into the NEET question paper leak case. Currently, a total of 18 individuals are under custody for interrogation.
Moreover, in light of the recent controversy surrounding the NEET-UG exam, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences postponed the NEET-PG 2024 examination scheduled for June 23. The next date for the examination will be announced in the coming week after a review of the SOPs and protocols.
As the investigation into the NEET-UG paper leak case unfolds, the CBI has formed special teams to delve deeper into the matter. The Bihar government has handed over the case to the CBI for a thorough investigation, following allegations of irregularities in the 2024 NEET-UG exam.
