Know more about the APPSC Group 2 Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The APPSC Group 2 exam for 2024 is held in two stages – Prelims and Mains. The Preliminary exam acts as a screening stage to shortlist candidates for the Mains. It consists of 150 multiple-choice questions encompassing General Studies and Mental Ability sections, to be completed within 150 minutes. An incorrect answer leads to a deduction of one-third of the marks for that question.
On the other hand, the Mains exam comprises three papers, each carrying equal weightage. All questions in the Mains are objective-type, equivalent to a bachelor’s degree standard. For every correct answer, candidates earn one mark, but there is a penalty of one-third marks for each incorrect response.
