Sanju Samson’s Record-Breaking Six Powers India to Victory
In a thrilling display of power hitting, Sanju Samson amazed cricket fans with a colossal 110-meter six during India’s 5th and final T20 international match against Zimbabwe. Facing Brandon Mavuta, Samson smashed the ball out of the ground, showcasing his incredible strength and skill.
Samson’s knock of 58 off 45 balls, along with disciplined bowling from Mukesh Kumar, proved instrumental in India’s 42-run triumph, clinching the series 4-1 in India’s favor.
Throughout his innings, Samson dispatched four sixes, illustrating his ability to seize key moments and take charge. His partnership with Riyan Parag, contributing 22 off 24 balls, stabilized India’s innings after a shaky start at 44 for three during the Power Play.

Despite a scare, Samson’s aggressive stroke play, highlighted by the incredible six off Mavuta, played a pivotal role in securing the victory.
Shivam Dube’s quickfire 26 off 12 balls further boosted India’s total to 167 for six. Mukesh Kumar’s outstanding 4/22 spearheaded India’s bowling attack, supported by Dube (2/25) and Washington Sundar (1/7) as Zimbabwe was bowled out for 125 in 18.3 overs.
Mukesh’s early breakthroughs set the tone, while Zimbabwe’s Marumani and Myers briefly resisted with a 44-run partnership. However, Marumani’s innovative switch-hit boundary off Ravi Bishnoi was a rare highlight for Zimbabwe as their hopes dwindled following Sundar and Dube’s strikes.
With Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza getting run-out, the collapse saw four quick wickets fall for just nine runs, sealing India’s decisive win.
Although Samson couldn’t finish the innings, his and Dube’s contributions ensured a competitive total and a memorable victory for India.
