Welcome Team India – Celebrating T20 World Cup Victory
New Delhi: Sanju Samson revealed the first look at a unique jersey that is meant to honor Team India’s triumph in the Men’s T20 World Cup.
On Thursday, the Indian cricket team, captained by Rohit Sharma, arrived home to a hero’s welcome via a specially scheduled charter flight. Before making their way to the ITC Maurya hotel, the players showed off the T20 World Cup trophy to the enthusiastic spectators.
Samson took to Instagram to share a picture of the new jersey. The jersey features a second star above the BCCI logo, symbolizing India’s victory in the T20 World Cup twice. The word “champions” is proudly displayed across the front of the shirt, commemorating their hard-earned success.
The addition of the second star is a tribute to India’s 2007 victory in their inaugural T20 World Cup, led by MS Dhoni, bridging the past and present in a tale of determination and triumph.
The Indian cricket team is set to take a special flight to Mumbai after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The team will arrive at Mumbai airport and then head to Wankhede Stadium. A brief ceremony and a victory parade from Nariman Point to Wankhede, organized by the BCCI, will take place at Wankhede Stadium to celebrate the historic win.
