In a piece of unfortunate news, England cricket legend Sir Geoffrey Boycott has been diagnosed with throat cancer for the second time. The 83-year-old is preparing for surgery to address the illness in two weeks.
Boycott shared his diagnosis through a statement quoted by ‘The Telegraph.’ He expressed his determination to face this challenge head-on, stating, “I will just get on with it and hope for the best.”
Having previously battled cancer in 2002, Boycott understands the challenges ahead but remains hopeful for a positive outcome. With his impressive cricket career that includes 8114 runs in 108 Test matches and 151 first-class centuries, Boycott has proven his resilience both on and off the field.
