Exciting news awaits as the National Testing Agency (NTA) gears up to announce the results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). The University Grants Commission revealed that the date for the result declaration will be notified soon, after the agency missed the scheduled date.
The NTA had initially set June 30 as the date for the CUET-UG results to be declared. However, on June 30, the results were not released as expected, and there has been no official communication from the NTA regarding the delay.
Addressing concerns about the pending results, UGC chief Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar stated, “NTA is currently working on finalizing the results date, which will be announced shortly.”
CUET-UG serves as the primary admission test for undergraduate programs across 46 Central universities. The exam, which took place from May 15 to May 31 in both online and pen-and-paper formats, is conducted by the NTA on behalf of the UGC.
While the NTA grapples with allegations of paper leaks in other entrance tests like NEET-UG and UGC-NET, the delay in CUET-UG results is causing uncertainty regarding admissions at various universities.
The current scrutiny of the NTA follows recent allegations of irregularities in exams like NEET-UG and UGC-NET. In response, a panel has been established by the Centre to ensure transparent, smooth, and fair conduct of examinations by the NTA.
The postponement and cancellation of exams have left students who have prepared diligently feeling anxious. The announcement of new result dates by the NTA is eagerly awaited and is expected to bring relief to these students.
