Welcome to the Future: Celkon Resolute Partners with ZTE Telecom to Manufacture WiFi 6 Routers
In a groundbreaking move, Celkon Resolute, a joint venture between Hyderabad-based Celkon Group and Resolute Group, has joined forces with Chinese telecommunications giant ZTE Telecom to manufacture state-of-the-art WiFi 6 routers at a brand new facility in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The new facility, scheduled to start operations in August, is located at the Tirupati Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC-1) and is expected to generate around 1,000 job opportunities initially. With an initial capacity to produce two lakh WiFi 6 routers per month, the facility plans to expand to five lakh units per month within a few months of operation to cater to international markets.
This strategic alliance signifies a significant step towards integrating advanced solutions, beginning with the implementation of WiFi 6 technology. The collaboration between Celkon Resolute and ZTE Telecom aims to introduce cutting-edge WiFi 6 technology globally, promising faster and more reliable internet connectivity.
Expressing enthusiasm for the new investment, Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh’s IT minister, stated, “This is just the beginning for ZTE in AP with WiFi 6 router manufacturing. We hope to see other industries from ZTE’s global portfolio being established in AP.”
ZTE Telecom CEO Liu Chao emphasized the impact of their technologies on creating interconnected urban environments through comprehensive data collection. He highlighted that the introduction of WiFi 6 routers will revolutionize global infrastructure by enabling seamless connectivity and enhanced data management.
Celkon Group’s chairman & managing director, Y Guru, shared that in addition to WiFi 6 routers, the joint venture will explore manufacturing other emerging tech-related products at the Tirupati facility, including IoT and AI technologies.
Raminder Soin, CMD of Resolute Group, noted that the addition of WiFi 6 router manufacturing will bolster the group’s product range, which includes mobiles, tablet PCs, televisions, and interactive flat panels.
