Parliament witnessed chaos as Opposition leaders demanded a discussion on alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examinations. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned amid the ruckus.
Opposition MPs, including Congress members, pushed for adjournment motions to address the issues, but their demands were rejected. The decision was made at a meeting of INDIA bloc leaders convened at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence.
Congress MPs Ranjeet Ranjan and Gaurav Gogoi took the lead in submitting the adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha, while party lawmaker Syed Naseer Hussain did the same in Rajya Sabha.
Opposition leaders in Rajya Sabha have raised concerns about the NEET and NET irregularities affecting the future of thousands of youth across the country. However, the call for immediate discussion was denied, hinting at hidden truths by the government.

Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju defended the government’s decision to prioritize the Motion of Thanks to President’s Address, promising to address all questions once the formalities had been completed in Lok Sabha.
Rajya Sabha also witnessed disruptions as INDIA bloc MPs persisted in demanding discussions on NEET issues. Despite the chaos, the House carried on with its proceedings in the afternoon session.
